Activities and timelines
Log calls, meetings, notes and tasks against a record, and read the relationship timeline and change history that build up on every contact.
On this page
Activities are the interactions you record against a relationship — calls, emails, meetings, notes and tasks. Together with what other modules do, they build the timeline on every record.
Log an interaction#
On a person, company or opportunity, choose Log Interaction (or Add Activity):
- Choose the interaction type — call, email, meeting, note or task.
- Write a summary and any notes — What was discussed?
- Save. The activity appears on the record's Activity tab and in CRM → Activities.
To create a follow-up task from a record, choose Create task, give it a title and details, and it is linked to the record. Tasks created this way are ordinary Unobits tasks — they appear in Projects and on the assignee's lists.
CRM → Activities#
CRM → Activities lists every logged interaction across all records, newest first, filterable by type (calls, emails, meetings, other) and by module. It is the fastest way to see what the team has been doing with customers.
Timeline versus activity#
| Activity | Timeline | |
|---|---|---|
| What | Interactions someone logged | Everything that happened with the relationship |
| Sources | CRM | CRM, Finance, projects, Reach, email, forms and more |
| Examples | “Call with Sara — agreed a proposal by Friday” | Invoice sent · Form submitted · Stage changed · Campaign email opened |
The Timeline on a record merges activity with events from other modules, so you can read the whole relationship in order. Change history is separate again: it lists every edit to the record's fields.
Conversation history#
The Conversation history on a person shows email threads with them from mailboxes connected to Unobits. It needs an email address on the record. If it cannot load, the tab says so and offers to try again.
