Creating an account creates an organization with you as its Owner. The whole process has three short steps on the website, an email check, and three questions inside the app.
On unobits.com, choose Start (or open a plan on Pricing). A three-step form opens.
Your login. Enter your email and a password of at least 8 characters, or choose Continue with Google. Google sign-up skips this step — Google has already confirmed who you are.
Your business. Enter your name and your business's name. The workspace takes its name from the business.
Your scale. Choose Solo, Pro or Enterprise, and monthly or yearly billing. Every plan opens the whole product; plans differ in seats, storage, credits and a handful of team features. See Plan limits.
Submit. Unobits creates your user, your organization and your subscription.
Verify your email#
If you signed up with email and password, Unobits sends a message containing a 6-digit code and a verification link. Enter the code on the Verify Email screen, or click the link. Either one activates the account.
- The code and link are valid for 24 hours.
- Your account stays inactive until it is verified — you cannot sign in to it before then.
- Google sign-ups are verified already and go straight in.
Answer the three questions#
The first time you open your new workspace, Unobits welcomes you and asks three questions. You can answer in your own words or pick from a list:
| Question | What it decides |
|---|---|
| What does your business actually do? | The shape of the whole workspace: what things are called, the pipeline stages, the fields on records, which modules lead. Answering in a sentence (“We manage about 40 apartments and run some as short lets”) usually gives a better fit than picking a category. |
| What do you want to set up first? | What your Home and dashboard lead with on day one. |
| How big is your team? | Whether collaboration, roles and portals arrive switched on. |
Donna reads your answers and prepares the workspace. If she is unsure about your business, she may ask one clarifying question.
You can also choose Skip for now and start with a general layout. Nothing is lost: you can re-run the questions at any time from Settings → Workspace → Setup wizard, and the owner can change the industry in the admin console. Re-running setup changes words and layout only — your records stay exactly as they are. See How Unobits adapts to your business.
