Reach

Leads, lists and importing people

Bring people in through the import wizard, keep static and dynamic lists, and see where every address came from and what it may be used for.

Updated 24 September 2026

Reach → Leads holds the people Reach can contact. Unlike a plain contact list, every lead carries where their address came from and what it may be used for, because that decides which campaigns can reach them.

What Reach knows about each lead#

FieldMeaning
Where it came fromThe source: added by hand, imported, from CRM, from a form, found by discovery, enrolled from a paste …
EligibilityOutreach OK (cleared for outreach) or Research only (may be kept and studied, not contacted)
ReachableWhether there is an active address or number that has not opted out
VerifiedWhether the address has been verified
BusinessThe company the person belongs to, and whether CRM already knows it

Filter Leads by source, eligibility and more, or search by name, address, company or tag.

Import people#

Choose Import people. The import wizard has three stages:

  1. Upload a CSV or spreadsheet.

  2. Match each column to a field — email address, name, company, phone and so on. Reach reads the column values, not just the headers, and says what each guess was based on. Keep other columns as custom fields or ignore them. A single Name column is split into first and last name.

  3. Import. Choose what everyone imported is recorded as (their source) and, optionally, a list to add them to. Reach reports what it cleaned, which rows were duplicates, which were invalid and which were already suppressed — before anything is written — then imports in chunks with a real progress bar.

Only have addresses? Choose Paste them instead and paste one address per line or separated by commas. They go through the same checks as a file.

A person whose email already belongs to a CRM contact is linked to that contact rather than duplicated. Importing a second file adds new columns without removing the ones an earlier import brought.

Lists#

A list is a named selection of leads. Lists are optional — a campaign can target everyone cleared for outreach — but they make audiences easy to reuse.

  • Static list — you pick who is on it. Create one with New static list, then add people from Leads.
  • Dynamic list — a rule decides who is on it (Describe a rule and let it fill itself). It needs at least one condition, and its membership updates as leads change.

From a list you can export its members or add them to a campaign.

Clear someone for outreach#

People found by discovery or enrichment arrive as Research only. To contact them, choose Clear for outreach and say why this address may be used — the reason is stored with the person. Nobody found automatically can be enrolled until a person has cleared them this way.

Add people to a campaign#

From Leads, choose Add people to a campaign: pick a list, tick people, or paste addresses, then choose the campaign. Before anything is written, Reach shows what the eligibility gate will do — who is admitted, who is refused, and why.
