Reach
Campaigns
Create a prospecting or marketing campaign with the wizard: audience, sender, schedule and journey — then review, activate, pause and measure it.
On this page
A campaign aims one message or journey at one audience, from one sender, on one schedule. Reach → Campaigns lists them with their status — Active, Paused or Draft — and how many people are enrolled.
Create a campaign#
Choose New campaign. The wizard asks five things and creates nothing until you confirm, and even then nothing sends until you start it.
Name and kind. Name the campaign and choose its kind: prospecting (a first approach to people who have not asked to hear from you) or marketing (a message to people who gave you their address to hear from you). Reach admits a person only where their recorded source is a basis for that kind. If in doubt, choose prospecting — it is the stricter one.
Leads. Choose who it goes to: everyone cleared for outreach, a list, or nobody yet (create it empty and add people from Leads later). Everyone is checked again at enrolment, so the number actually enrolled can be smaller — Reach says by how much and why.
Sender. Choose the mailbox it sends from. People see its name, and replies come back to it. You can decide later, but the campaign cannot start without a sender.
Steps. Build the journey, or start from a playbook — a saved copy of another campaign's journey.
Review. Check the summary and create it.
The campaign page#
Each campaign has five tabs:
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Journey | What this campaign sends, and when. See Journeys and steps. |
| People | Who is in it and where each person has got to. Add people here. |
| Replies | What came back from this campaign's recipients |
| Metrics | How it is doing — sent, did not arrive, opened, clicked, replied, bounced, opted out — step by step and per variant, and what people clicked |
| Setup | The terms it runs under: sender, sender name, reply-to, sending window and safety |
Before this starts summarizes anything that still blocks the campaign — no sender, no steps, SMS not registered — and Safety clear shows whether the sending envelope allows it to run, with See why.
Start, pause and stop#
- Start runs the campaign. Enrolled people begin the journey; each message goes out within the sender's daily limit and sending window.
- Pause stops further sends until you resume. People keep their place in the journey.
- Reach may stop a campaign automatically — for example when bounces or complaints suggest the sender is at risk. The campaign shows that it stopped automatically and why.
Test before you start#
On an email step, Send a test sends the step to an address you choose, from the campaign's mailbox, with merge tags filled in. Test each step before starting.
Duplicate and playbooks#
Duplicate makes a copy of a campaign. Save as playbook keeps a copy of the journey so another campaign can start from it — editing a playbook later never changes the campaign it came from, and vice versa.
Ask Reach for a campaign#
On the Overview you can tell Reach what you want in plain words (“email, then a text, to property managers in Texas”). Reach proposes a campaign and creates it as a draft — review it, then start it from its page.
