Timeline, time and audit

Time tracking and timesheets

Run a timer or add time manually, use your workspace’s timer types, and review and export the timesheet.

Updated 24 September 2026

Track the time you spend on work — with a running timer or by entering it afterwards — and review it on the timesheet. Time logged against a project feeds the project's job costing.

Track time#

Open Timeline → Timesheet.

  • Start a timer and stop it when you finish. Choose the project and task it is for, a description, and whether it is billable.
  • Add an entry for time you did not time: the date, start and end or duration, project, task and description.
  • Discard a running timer you started by mistake.

The Timeline card on Home shows whether a timer is running, with start, pause and reset.

Timer types#

Your workspace may define timer types that match how your business works — a clinic tracks Shift, Rounds, On call and Handover; an agency tracks Deep work, Client call and Admin. Some types count as work and some do not (a Break, for example), and a break can stop itself after a set time. Timer types come from your workspace configuration.

The timesheet#

The timesheet lists your entries. Filter it by:

  • text (project, task or description),
  • billable or non-billable,
  • a date range.

Totals update as you filter. Export downloads the filtered entries as CSV — for payroll, client billing or your own records.

Time and project costs#

When an entry names a project, its hours are booked to that project. With a labour rate set on the project, those hours become a labour cost in the project's Costs. Without a rate, hours are shown but not costed. See Project costs and job costing.
