Overview

Bookings

Take reservations for people, rooms, tables and equipment: booking types, opening hours, resources, approvals and the booking lifecycle.

Updated 2 November 2026

Bookings takes reservations for anything with limited time: a stylist’s afternoon, a treatment room, a table, a van, a holiday cottage. You describe what people can book and who or what takes it, set the hours, and Bookings keeps every booking from colliding with another.

The Overview#

Until the basics exist, the Overview is a setup guide: add who or what gets booked, describe what people book, set opening hours and open a booking page. After that it shows:

  • Today by resource — a lane for each resource with its open hours, its bookings, any closures, the time your own calendar is busy, and a marker for now.
  • Waiting on someone — approvals, arrivals and finished bookings that need an action. “Nothing is waiting on anyone” when you are clear.
  • The next seven days — booked time against the time each resource is really free.

How Bookings connects#

What a booking touches
A booking
  • Calendarevery booking appears on the calendar of the person booked; anyone sharing that calendar sees only that the time is taken
  • CRMthe customer is a contact; the booking shows on their timeline
  • Inboxa booking waiting for approval is an approval item with Approve and Decline
  • Automationsseven booking events can start an automation
  • Timelineevery change to a booking is in its history
  • Searchbookings are findable by people with View Bookings
  • Tasksa hotel turnover or a consultation follow-up becomes a task
  • Financeprice and deposit are recorded; collecting them is not built yet

Bookings shows and starts other modules’ records but never owns them: a follow-up is a task in Tasks, a note is a CRM note, money is Finance.
