Core terms#

Term	Meaning
Organization	Your company’s account. It has one Owner, a plan, members and its own short name in every app address
Workspace	The app as your organization sees it — its modules, words and settings
Owner	The person who created the organization. Holds every permission
Role	Owner, Admin, Manager or Member: what a person can do by default
Permission	A single right, such as View CRM, granted by role or individually
Owner-sensitive	A permission only the Owner can grant
Preset	A starting set of permissions for a job, such as Accountant or Sales
Module	An area of the app: CRM, Projects, Finance…
Pill	A page inside a module, shown as a tab under its title
Capability	Whether a module is part of your workspace at all
Experience	How a module runs for a kind of business — Bookings for a hotel, say
Vocabulary	The words your workspace uses for things, such as Patients for contacts
System credits	The organization’s shared monthly pool for calls, campaigns and integrations
AI allowance	Each person’s monthly allowance for Donna
Donna	The assistant built into Unobits
Peek	The panel that slides over the page; Donna’s flyout opens in it
Triage	Working through what needs attention in the Inbox
Rule · Flow	A simple automation · a multi-step automation on a canvas
Resource	In Bookings, who or what gets booked
Booking type	In Bookings, what people can book and its rules

Unobits uses the same records everywhere but lets each workspace name them. A few examples:
