Actions and approvals

How Donna shows a job as an itemised list you tick and approve once, when she asks for your password, and what happens when one item fails.

Updated 2 November 2026

When Donna is going to change something, she first shows you the whole job as a list. You untick anything you do not want and approve once. What runs is exactly that list — not a fresh guess.

The approval card#

Ask for something like “We just signed ACME — create a project, three onboarding tasks and email Sara the kickoff note”, and you get:

  • Untick a row to leave it out. The button counts what will run.
  • Approve runs the ticked rows, in order.
  • Cancel runs nothing.

Anything Donna cannot do is shown on the card as refused, not silently dropped.

Passwords for sensitive actions#

With Guardrails on (the default), rows that send, delete or touch settings ask for your password. One password covers every row in the same area for five minutes, so a nine-task plan is one prompt, not nine. Being verified for tasks does not verify you for email.

When something fails#

A row that fails does not stop the others. Donna tells you afterwards which rows ran and which did not.

Limits#

  • An approval card expires after 15 minutes. Approving later, or twice — say from a restored tab — runs nothing.
  • Every action Donna takes is recorded with who approved it and how.
