Bookings
Opening hours and closures
Weekly hours for the business and each resource, closures for holidays and repairs, and how your own calendar keeps you from being double-booked.
On this page
Availability decides when people can book. Each resource has weekly hours, the business, a resource or a booking type can be closed for a holiday or a repair, and a team member’s own calendar keeps them from being booked when they are busy.

Read the week#
With nobody selected, the page shows Open hours this week: a grid of half hours where darker cells mean more resources are open. Use it to spot where you are thin or overstaffed. Select a resource or a booking type on the left to see only its hours.
Set weekly hours#
Choose whose hours#
On the left, pick a resource — or a booking type, if that type is offered only at certain times.
Add the hours#
In Weekly hours, choose Add hours for a day and set when it Opens and Closes. A day can have more than one period, for example 9:00–12:30 and 13:30–17:30. Copy Monday to Tuesday–Friday saves repeating yourself.
Save#
Hours are in the business time zone shown next to the heading. Customers see times in their own.
A booking type with no hours of its own follows the hours of whoever it books. Give a type hours only when it is narrower — brunch only on weekends, consultations only in the mornings.
Closures#
A closure blocks time for a holiday, a repair or a day off. Choose Add a closure, then:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| What closes | The whole business, one resource or one booking type |
| First closed day / Last closed day | The days nobody can book |
| Reason | For your team only, e.g. “Public holiday” |
Your own calendar counts#
Bookings never offers a team member at a time their own calendar is busy. Every booking also appears on the calendar of the person booked. Team members can set their own bookable hours in Calendar settings without Manage Bookings.
