Calendar settings and working hours

Set your working hours, the hours people can book you, your public-holiday country and connected calendars — and what Donna may do in Calendar.

Updated 2 November 2026

Calendar → Settings holds the settings that change how your calendar behaves. Every setting here is your own; it does not change anyone else's calendar.

Working hours#

Set the hours you work, day by day — Starts and Ends, Add hours for a split day, or mark a Day off. Calendar uses them to:

  • shade time outside your hours,
  • work out and name your free time,
  • flag events outside your hours.

Until they are set, free time shows as unknown.

My availability#

If your workspace uses Bookings and an admin has made you someone customers can book, My availability sets the hours you can be booked. They start from your working hours; you can narrow them here. If nobody can book you yet, the tab says so: When an admin adds you as someone who can be booked, your hours are set here.

Public holidays#

Choose your holiday country to show its public holidays on your calendar, or choose none to hide them. Holidays are never guessed from your location. Regional holidays are labelled. A holiday does not close your working or booking hours by itself.

Integrations and sync#

Shows the real state of your Google Calendar connection — connected, disconnected, or temporarily unreachable — with Manage connection and Import Google events. See Import from Google Calendar. Outlook and iCloud calendars are not available.

Donna#

Donna can help you find, create and update events. Automatically declining invitations and resolving conflicts on her own are not available. See Donna.

Time zone#

Your calendar uses your time zone from personal settings.
