Reconnect or disconnect a service

What happens to data and automations when you disconnect, how to reconnect a credential that stopped working, and who can remove a shared connection.

Updated 2 November 2026

Reconnecting fixes most broken connections. Disconnecting stops new data arriving; what already arrived stays.

Reconnect#

When a provider stops accepting Unobits’ access — you changed your password, revoked access, or a permission was added later — the card says so. Choose Connect again and sign in; nothing already in Unobits is lost.

Disconnect#

Choose Disconnect on the service’s card, or Disconnect account in Manage data.

ServiceWhat happens
Gmail / OutlookNew mail stops arriving
Google CalendarImported events stay; new changes stop arriving
GitHub / Shopify / WebflowUnobits removes its webhooks from the provider first, then the connection

Automations that used a disconnected service fail at that step until you reconnect. Shared, organization-wide connections can only be disconnected by someone with Disconnect shared integrations ⚑.
