Donna and permissions

Donna borrows your permissions rather than having her own: what that means for Members, for owner-sensitive actions, and for refusals.

Updated 2 November 2026

Donna has no permissions of her own. She borrows yours, for each request, from the same rules that decide which pages you can open. When your access changes, hers changes with it.

The rule#

If you cannot open a part of Unobits, Donna cannot read or change it for you. A Member whose account does not include CRM cannot get the pipeline by asking Donna. No mode switch, password or confirmation can widen that, because it is not Donna’s to grant.

You areDonna can
Owner or AdminRead and act across the workspace, as you can
ManagerRead the company modules Managers can view; change what Managers can change
MemberWork with your own mail, files, calendar and tasks, and any module you have been given

Grant someone a permission in Admin → Access, and Donna follows in their next conversation. See Permissions.

When she refuses#

A refusal is short and plain: that area is not part of your access. She does not offer to switch modes to get around it. Refusals are recorded — refused reads included — because a refusal is the only trace that someone, or something steering Donna, reached for an area they cannot enter.

Actions you cannot delegate#

You cannot give Donna standing authority you do not have yourself. Owner-only actions stay Owner-only whoever asks her.
