From lead to paying customer

Follow one relationship through Unobits: capture the lead, work the opportunity, quote, deliver the project, invoice and get paid — with every record linked.

Updated 2 November 2026

One relationship, from first contact to paid invoice. Because every step creates a real record linked to the last, the customer’s CRM record ends up showing the whole story — conversations, deal, project and money.

Step by step#

Capture the lead#

Add the person in CRM → People, or from an email with Add to CRM. They get an owner from your assignment rules and a first next-action date. See People.

Open an opportunity#

Create the opportunity on the person or their company, in the right pipeline. Move it across the board as the conversation progresses, and keep What happens next current. See Opportunities.

Send a quote#

From the opportunity, create a quote: pull products and prices from Inventory or type the lines, set Valid until, and send it. The quote lives in Finance, linked to the opportunity. See Quotes.

Win it#

When the customer accepts, move the opportunity to your won stage and record why. Move the person’s lifecycle stage to Customer.

Deliver the work#

Create the project and link it to the client — from the project’s Links or the CRM record’s Work tab. Plan the tasks and track time against them. See Projects and Time tracking.

Invoice#

From the accepted quote, choose to invoice it. Check the draft and Send it: it gets its number, is posted to the books and emailed with a View and pay link. See Invoices.

Get paid#

The customer pays through the link and the invoice settles itself, or you record a bank transfer by hand. See Invoice to payment.

What you can see afterwards#

Open the person in CRM. Connected to lists the company, opportunity, project and invoice; Conversation history has the emails; Money shows what was invoiced and paid; and the Timeline tells the story in order. See Connected records.
