Bookings
Resources
Who and what gets booked — team members, rooms, tables, spaces and Inventory items — how many bookings each takes at once, and how busy each is.
On this page
A resource is anything that gets booked: a team member’s time, a room, table or space, or an item from Inventory. Each booking takes one resource that is free, so resources are what stop two bookings landing on the same thing.

Add a resource#
Choose Add resource (it uses your words — Add stylist, Add room) and pick what is booked:
| Kind | Booked for | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| A team member | Their time | A stylist, a doctor, a tutor |
| A room, table or space | Its space, named here | Room 4, Table 12, Treatment room |
| An item from Inventory | Itself | A van, a projector, a kayak |
Then set:
- Group — resources in the same group are listed together, such as “Ground floor” or “Senior stylists”.
- Bookings it can take at the same moment — usually 1. A shared studio might take 3.
After adding one, give it opening hours on Availability, or it can be booked at any time.
How busy each resource is#
Each resource shows a gauge for the next seven days: booked time against the time it is really free — its open hours, less closures, less what its own calendar already holds.
Retire a resource#
Retire stops a resource being offered. Bookings it already has stay as they are. Retired resources are hidden; Show retired brings them back into view.
Channels (stays)#
For a resource booked by the night or the day — a room, a cottage, a unit — Channels connects it to listing sites such as Airbnb or Booking.com through calendar addresses (iCal):
- Coming in — paste a channel’s calendar address. Its bookings arrive here as blocked nights, so nobody can book them here.
- Going out — Make an address for channels gives you an address to paste into the channel, so it sees the nights already taken here. The address carries no guest names.
If a channel books nights already sold here, the overview flags it as a double booking.
