Overview

Office

Documents, spreadsheets, presentations and notebooks that live in your workspace — with comments, tracked changes, versions and live fields linked to your records.

Updated 3 November 2026

Office is Unobits’ own editors: Docs for documents, Sheets for spreadsheets, Slides for presentations and Notebooks for notes. Files you make are saved in Files, can carry live values from your records, and open Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.

Working in any editor#

  • One toolbar for the common actions, and a command palette — Ctrl+K — for everything else: type what you want to do.
  • Comments, Track changes with Accept and Reject, and Authorship to see who wrote what.
  • Live fields that keep a value linked to the record it came from. See Live fields.
  • Donna can draft, edit and summarise in place; her suggestions arrive as tracked changes you accept or reject.

Where files are kept#

Files saved from the editors live in Files, under office/docs, office/sheets and office/slides, and count towards the workspace’s storage. Settings → Clear local cache removes the copy on this device only; files saved to the cloud are not affected.
